This extremely difficult 13.692km out-and-back hiking route will take you to the majestic Wasenwand peak in the beautiful area. The trail starts at the parking area near the Naturfreundehaus and immediately offers a challenging ascent with a total elevation gain of 1220.0 meters.

As you make your way along the trail, you will come across several points of interest. Approximately 1.08km from the start, you will find a stunning waterfall, a perfect spot to take a short break and admire the beauty of nature. Continuing on, at around 2.42km into the hike, you will encounter a refreshing spring where you can replenish your water supply.

Around the midway point of the trail, at approximately 4.43km from the start, a picturesque viewpoint awaits, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes. As you approach the final stretch of the hike, at about 6.06km from the start, you will reach the iconic Foppmandl peak, a perfect pinnacle to capture stunning photographs and create lasting memories.

Throughout the hike, you will also come across benches strategically placed along the trail, providing opportunities to rest and soak in the natural beauty that surrounds you.
