This extremely difficult hiking route takes you to the breathtaking peak of Hochkünzelspitze. The trail spans a distance of approximately 14.966 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1115.0 meters, making it a challenging but rewarding adventure.
Starting at the parking area, located right at the beginning of the trail, hikers will gradually ascend through the stunning alpine scenery. Along the way, you will come across the historic wayside cross at 5.37 kilometers from the start, adding a cultural element to your journey.
Around 5.14 kilometers into the hike, you will find the Biberacher Hütte alpine hut. Although not directly on the trail, this cozy accommodation offers a chance to rest and refuel before continuing on.
As you hike further, at 6.2 kilometers from the start, you will reach the Giglturm peak, providing panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. Finally, after a challenging trek, you will conquer the summit of Hochkünzelspitze at 7.48 kilometers from the beginning, a true achievement for any hiker.
