This challenging hiking route on Monte Nuda offers stunning views and a variety of points of interest along the way.

Starting at the trailhead, hikers will pass by Lago Santo modenese, a beautiful lake just half a kilometer from the start. Continuing on, you'll come across Rifugio Vittoria at 0.38 kilometers, followed by Rifugio Barga at 0.31 kilometers and Rifugio Marchetti at 0.49 kilometers. These alpine huts provide a great place to rest and take in the mountain scenery.

As you trek further, you'll reach Passo Boccaia at 1.54 kilometers, a saddle offering panoramic views of the surrounding area. The highlight of the hike, Monte Nuda peak, is located 3.68 kilometers from the start. The elevation gain along the route is 324 meters, so be prepared for a steep climb.

Along the way, you'll also find drinking water sources at 0.38 kilometers and 1.12 kilometers, as well as the restaurant "Il Cacciatore" at 0.05 kilometers from the start, where you can refuel after your hike.

This out-and-back trail spans a total of 7.353 kilometers and is expected to take around 2 hours and 30 minutes to complete. The trail is considered difficult due to its length and elevation gain, so hikers should be in good physical condition.
