This challenging 10.074-kilometer circular hiking route will take you through the stunning Sorgente del Corsonna - s. c. Vetrice area. The trail offers a total elevation gain of 736.0 meters and is estimated to take around 4 hours and 10 minutes to complete.
At the beginning of the hike, you will pass by the picturesque Lago Santo modenese, located just 0.49 kilometers from the starting point. As you continue onwards, you will come across several alpine huts such as Rifugio Vittoria, Rifugio Barga, Rifugio Giovo, and Rifugio Marchetti, providing perfect resting spots along the way.
Midway through the trail, you will encounter Passo Boccaia and Passo Porticciola at 1.54 and 3.56 kilometers from the start, respectively. These picturesque saddles offer breathtaking views and are great places to catch your breath before continuing on.
As you approach the latter part of the hike, you will be treated to stunning natural landmarks such as Cima dell'Omo, Colle Bruciata, and Sorgente delle Fontanacce, each offering their own unique charm and beauty.
Throughout the hike, be sure to stay hydrated by bringing an ample water supply. Additionally, checking the weather forecast before embarking on this journey is highly recommended due to the varying terrain and elevation.
After completing the challenging yet rewarding hike through the Sorgente del Corsonna - s. c. Vetrice area, you can relax and unwind at the nearby restaurant, Il Cacciatore, which is located just 0.05 kilometers from the trail endpoint.
