This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of Sandjochmoos to Wechselkessel and back. With a total distance of approximately 12.67 kilometers and an elevation gain of 837 meters, this route is rated as extremely difficult, so be prepared for a challenging trek.

Starting off at the parking area, you will find the trailhead easily accessible. As you make your way along the path, about 2 kilometers in, you'll come across a wayside shrine that adds a touch of historic charm to the surroundings.

Around the 3-kilometer mark, you'll find a drinking water station, which is a great spot to refill your water bottle and take a short break to admire the scenic views. Continuing on, at the 5.47-kilometer point, you'll find a natural water source, although it's slightly off the trail.

Further along, at the 6.33-kilometer mark, there's another water source conveniently located along the trail. This is a good spot to rest and recharge before tackling the remainder of the hike.

As you approach the end of the route, you'll reach a viewpoint at the 9-kilometer mark. This is a perfect vantage point to take in the breathtaking panoramic views before retracing your steps back to the starting point.
