This challenging hike will take you on an out-and-back route to the stunning peak of Mount Abraham, also known as Little Abe. The trailhead starts at Lincoln Gap Long Trail Trailhead, where you can park your vehicle before starting your journey. As you make your way along the trail, you'll pass by Sunset Ledge Trail Head, offering beautiful views along the way.

Approximately 2.69 kilometers into the hike, you'll reach Battell Shelter, a convenient spot to rest and refuel before continuing on. Further along the trail, at around 3.85 kilometers, you'll come across a viewpoint designated by OSM as a noteworthy location to take in the surrounding scenery.

The highlight of the hike is reaching Mount Abraham, located 4.68 kilometers from the start. From this peak, you'll be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the area. Additionally, Lincoln Gap is situated just 0.08 kilometers from the start, giving you a taste of the natural beauty to come.
