Welcome to the Route du Canal hiking trail!

The Route du Canal is a picturesque hiking trail that spans approximately 1.661 kilometers with no significant elevation gain, making it a super easy hike suitable for hikers of all levels.

Starting at the Place du Huit Mai parking area, you will embark on a leisurely stroll along the trail. Along the way, you will encounter several points of interest. At the beginning of the trail, you will find the Monument aux morts, a historic memorial located just 0.03 kilometers from the starting point. Further along, at 0.18 kilometers from the start, you will come across a tranquil water feature.

As you continue your journey, you will pass by La Première Écluse, a charming bar located 0.83 kilometers from the start of the trail. Additionally, there are multiple water sources scattered along the trail, providing opportunities to rest and hydrate.

For your convenience, there are additional parking areas available at various points along the trail, ensuring easy access to the Route du Canal.
