Welcome to the hiking route to Mirador Horcones on Carretera Libertador General San Martín! This route is a super easy out-and-back trail with a total distance of 1.466 kilometers and an elevation gain of 36 meters.

The hike starts at a parking area near the trailhead. As you begin your journey, you will pass by Laguna Espejo, a beautiful water body located approximately 0.47 kilometers from the start of the trail. Further along the route, at a distance of 0.73 kilometers, you will come across Laguna Horcones, another picturesque lake.

Midway through the trail, about 0.73 kilometers in, you will have the opportunity to visit Aconcagua Mount viewpoint, where you can admire stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Additionally, at a distance of 0.3 kilometers from the start, you can explore Fósiles de amonite, an attraction showcasing ancient fossils.

As you near the end of the trail, approximately 0.73 kilometers in, you will reach Mirador Horcones, a viewpoint offering panoramic vistas of the area.

This hike is relatively short and easy, making it suitable for hikers of all skill levels. However, it is always important to come prepared with plenty of water, proper footwear, and to check the weather forecast before setting out.
