This hiking route takes you through a challenging and extremely difficult terrain, covering a distance of 15.143 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1089 meters. The duration of this hike is estimated to be around 6 hours and 13 minutes, so make sure to plan accordingly.

The trail starts at the parking area, which is conveniently located at the beginning of the route. As you make your way along the trail, you will come across the Madonnina viewpoint about 1.5 kilometers from the start. This is a great spot to take a break and enjoy the panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.

About halfway through the hike, you will reach Rifugio Femmina Morta, an alpine hut situated 4.81 kilometers from the start. This is a good place to rest and refuel before continuing on the trail.

The final destination of this out-and-back route is Rifugio Cerasoli, another alpine hut located 7.57 kilometers from the start. Here, you can relax and take in the stunning mountain views before making your way back.

It is important to note that there are picnic sites along the trail where you can stop for a meal or snack. However, make sure to bring enough water with you as drinking water sources are located off the trail.
