This challenging hiking route will take you to the breathtaking Hochhorn peak. The trail spans a distance of 11.68 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1044 meters, making it a difficult yet rewarding trek that will take approximately 5 hours and 18 minutes to complete.
Starting off at the trailhead, you will find convenient parking at the beginning of the route. As you make your way along the path, you will come across the Gasthaus Badl Alm restaurant, where you can refuel and enjoy a meal before continuing your journey. Further along the trail, you will reach the scenic Pfanntörl saddle, offering stunning views of the surrounding natural landscape.
Continuing on, you will pass by a refreshing water source at the 4.13-kilometer mark, perfect for filling up your water bottle. As you approach the halfway point, you will find informative signposts providing interesting facts about the area and its landmarks.
One of the highlights of the hike is reaching the Gaishörndl peak, located 4.61 kilometers from the start.
