This extremely difficult 12.288-kilometer circular hiking route starts at the Bayreuterhütte parking area. The trail boasts an elevation gain of 1275 meters and offers a challenging but rewarding experience for hikers.

As you embark on your journey, you will come across several points of interest along the way. About 0.54 kilometers from the start, you will find a bench where you can take a moment to rest and enjoy the surroundings. Further along, at 1.08 kilometers into the hike, there is an information point providing insights into the area's history and geography.

At 1.37 kilometers, you will encounter another bench and a viewpoint, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the landscape. A wayside shrine named Herrgottstein, located 0.85 kilometers from the start, adds a touch of historical significance to the trail.

Midway through the hike, at around 5.95 kilometers, you will reach the Sonnwendjochhaus alpine hut, a perfect spot to refuel and relax before continuing your journey. Additionally, there is a peak called Pletzachkogel, located 3.41 kilometers from the start, which promises stunning vistas for those willing to make the ascent.

Towards the end of the hike, at 6.07 kilometers, another viewpoint awaits, offering a final glimpse of the picturesque surroundings.
