This hiking route is extremely difficult, covering a distance of 12.288 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1275.0 meters, and a total duration of 6 hours and 1 minute. The trail is a circular route located in a picturesque area.

As you embark on your journey, you will come across several points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, you will find the Bayreuterhütte parking area, where you can leave your vehicle before starting your hike. As you make your way along the trail, approximately 1.37 kilometers from the start, you will encounter an information point and a viewpoint offering stunning panoramic views.

Continuing on, at around 3.41 kilometers into the hike, you will reach the Pletzachkogel peak, providing an opportunity to admire the surrounding natural beauty. Midway through the trail, at approximately 5.95 kilometers from the start, you will find the Sonnwendjochhaus alpine hut, a perfect spot to take a break and enjoy some refreshments.

Further along the route, at about 6.07 kilometers from the start, there is another viewpoint where you can pause and take in the breathtaking vistas. As you near the end of the hike, at 11.81 kilometers from the start, you will pass by a wayside shrine known as Herrgottstein, adding a touch of historic charm to your journey.
