Welcome to the Muntanitz hiking route, a challenging and rewarding adventure for experienced hikers. Situated in a picturesque alpine setting, this 27.221-kilometer trail offers stunning views and diverse terrain to explore.

As you set off on your journey, you will come across various points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, you will find a convenient parking area, allowing you to easily start your trek. Approximately 9.98 kilometers into the hike, there is a natural water source where you can replenish your supplies. Be sure to fill up your water bottles here as it will be a while before you encounter another water point, located 1.95 kilometers from the start.

Continuing on, you will pass by the Seeleralmbach waterfall, adding a touch of serenity to your adventure. Make a stop at the Sudetendeutsche Hütte alpine hut, located at around 9.95 kilometers from the start, for a rest and take in the stunning surroundings. The trail also leads you to various peaks, including Kampl, Kleiner Muntanitz, and Muntanitz, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.

Midway through the hike, you will reach the Nussingscharte saddle, providing a picturesque spot to pause and admire the beauty of the mountains. As you make your way back, don't miss the Wellachköpfe peaks, both the Südgipfel and Nordgipfel 1 & 2, offering breathtaking views and a sense of accomplishment.

With a total elevation gain of 2125 meters, this extremely difficult route will challenge even the most seasoned hikers. Make sure to pack plenty of water, snacks, and essential gear for the long trek ahead. It is also recommended to check the weather forecast before embarking on this adventure.
