This extremely difficult hiking route takes you to the breathtaking area of Punta Galambra. The trail spans 12.276 kilometers in distance and features an elevation gain of 873.0 meters. It is estimated to take approximately 5 hours and 1 minute to complete this challenging hike.
As you begin your journey, you will come across the ruins of Ricovero Galambra approximately 5.79 kilometers from the start of the trail. Further along the path, at around 3.72 kilometers, you will encounter the picturesque Lago Patarè, a natural water feature perfect for a rest stop.
Along the way, be sure to admire the stunning views from Colle Sommeiller, a viewpoint located at the start of the trail. As you continue, you will reach Passo meridionale dei Fourneaux and Passo centrale dei Fourneaux, both natural saddles that offer a unique vantage point of the surrounding landscape.
Midway through the hike, at approximately 6.14 kilometers, you will reach Punta Galambra, a peak that marks the turnaround point of this out-and-back trail. Be sure to take in the panoramic views before heading back towards the starting point.
