Welcome to the hiking route to Cime de Bard, a challenging and extremely difficult trail located in a stunning natural area.
Starting at the trailhead, you will first come across a parking area, where you can leave your vehicle before embarking on the journey. As you begin your hike, you will pass by a wayside shrine, a historical site that is located just 0.06 kilometers from the start. Further along the trail, at 0.14 kilometers in, you will find an information point providing interesting facts about the area.
As you continue your ascent, you will reach a wilderness hut called Bivacco Piero Vacca, situated 3.43 kilometers from the start. This provides a great opportunity to take a break and enjoy the surrounding wilderness. Further ahead, at 2.59 kilometers in, you will come across Fontanella Vairetta, where you can refill your water supply.
One of the highlights of the hike is reaching the peak of Cime de Bard, located 4.94 kilometers from the start. This offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape and is a perfect spot to rest and soak in the beauty of the area.
Throughout the hike, you will encounter various points of interest such as benches for taking a break and enjoying the scenery. It is important to stay hydrated, so remember to bring an adequate amount of water. Additionally, as this is an extremely difficult trail with an elevation gain of 1300 meters over a distance of 9.884 kilometers, it is recommended to be well-prepared and physically fit before attempting this hike.
