This hiking route is located in a picturesque area with stunning alpine views. With a distance of 16.022 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1362 meters, this route is classified as extremely difficult, so make sure to be well-prepared before embarking on this adventure.
The hike starts at a parking area with no fee. As you begin your journey, you will come across an information point providing valuable insights about the area. Further along the trail, at a distance of 2.13 kilometers from the start, you will find a drinking water point where you can refill your water bottles.
At the 3.68 kilometer mark, you will reach Bivacco Walter Blais, a shelter for hikers to rest and take in the surrounding beauty. Continuing on, you will encounter Col d'Ambin, a saddle point at the same distance marker.
Further ahead, at 5.33 kilometers from the start, you will arrive at Col de l'Agnel supérieur, another saddle point on the trail. Along the way, you will also pass by Pointe de l'Agnel and Capanna Sibille, which offer shelter for hikers.
The highlight of the hike is reaching the highest point, Pointe de l'Agnel / Punta dell'Agnello, offering panoramic views of the surrounding peaks.
Finally, at 8.0 kilometers from the start, you will reach Rifugio Luigi Vaccarone, an alpine hut where you can take a well-deserved break and enjoy some local hospitality.
