Welcome to the Ochsenkopf Wanderweg! This hiking route covers a distance of 8.089 kilometers with an elevation gain of 740 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding adventure.
The trail starts at a convenient parking area and continues through the picturesque landscape of the area. Along the route, you will come across various points of interest. At the beginning of the trail, you will find the Schirmbar Hannes' Alm, a cozy pub where you can enjoy a refreshing drink before starting your hike.
As you make your way through the trail, you will pass by several water sources where you can refill your water bottles. These stops are located at different points along the route, providing convenient opportunities to rest and hydrate.
Midway through the hike, you will reach the Gämsehütte shelter, offering a peaceful spot to take a break and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Further along, you'll encounter the Königsleitenspitze peak and the Sattelscharte saddle, providing stunning panoramic views of the area.
Towards the end of the trail, you will find informative spots such as the Alphorn artwork and various benches where you can take in the scenery. Before concluding your hike, you can visit the Pizzeria Pico Bello or other eateries to refuel.
