This extremely difficult 13.423-kilometer out-and-back hiking route will take you to the stunning Lodron peak. The trail starts at a parking area located right at the beginning of the route. As you begin your journey, you'll come across the Gasthaus Steinberg restaurant just 0.05 kilometers from the start, where you can fuel up before tackling the challenging ascent.

About 0.4 kilometers into the hike, you'll find a water source to refill your bottles. As you continue onwards, at about 1.56 kilometers from the start, you'll encounter the Marterl wayside shrine and the Wiesboden viewpoint, offering a moment of rest and beautiful vistas.

Midway through the hike, at 6.71 kilometers from the start, you'll reach the majestic Lodron peak. Take in the panoramic views before starting your trek back. Remember to check the weather forecast before embarking on this demanding adventure and ensure you have an adequate water supply.
