Welcome to the hiking route to La Fornace! This extremely difficult 17.713 km trail offers stunning views and a challenging adventure for experienced hikers.

Starting off at the parking lot near the trailhead, you'll begin your journey with a short walk to La Fornace viewpoint which is approximately 8.86 km from the start. Here, you can take in the panoramic views of the surrounding area before continuing on.

As you make your way along the trail, you'll come across various points of interest. You'll pass by a monument just 0.05 km from the start, a drinking water station around the same distance, and a city gate also at a similar distance. These stops offer a chance to rest and refuel before tackling the next section of the hike.

Midway through your hike, at about 0.16 km from the start, you'll find Enoteca dei Difficili, a restaurant where you can enjoy a hearty meal. Nearby, there's also a cafe, Bar Trattoria La Sugheraia, for a quick snack or drink.

Towards the end of the trail, you'll encounter Locanda delle Stelle restaurant, perfect for a well-deserved meal after completing this challenging route.

Remember to bring plenty of water, snacks, and sun protection as this route can be demanding. Check the weather forecast before heading out and make sure to stay on the marked trail for your safety.
