This hiking route will take you through a beautiful area with stunning views and challenging terrain. The total distance of the trail is around 6 kilometers with an elevation gain of 509 meters, making it a difficult hike that will test your endurance.
Starting at the trailhead, you will pass by a parking area at the beginning of the route. As you continue, you'll come across a water source about 1.32 kilometers into the hike, where you can take a break and refill your water bottles. Further along the trail, at around 1.87 kilometers in, you'll find another water source for your convenience.
About 1.48 kilometers into the hike, you'll spot a restaurant called Le Cabanou where you can grab a bite to eat and refuel for the journey back. As you approach the 2.61-kilometer mark, there's a fast-food spot where you can quickly recharge before continuing on.
For those interested in free-flying activities, there are two takeoff sites along the trail. The first one, Gourdosses, is located approximately 1.57 kilometers into the hike. The second takeoff site, Cap de Pales, is situated at the 3-kilometer mark, offering a thrilling experience for adventurous hikers.
This out-and-back route culminates at Cap de Pales, a picturesque destination with breathtaking views that make the challenging trek worthwhile. Make sure to bring plenty of water, snacks, and check the weather forecast before embarking on this adventure. Happy hiking!
