This hiking route to Pizzo Tornello is located in a beautiful mountainous area. The trail is an out-and-back type, with a total distance of 10.973 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1547 meters, making it an extremely difficult hike that will take approximately 6 hours and 24 minutes to complete.
As you start your journey, you will pass by several points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, you will find parking facilities where you can leave your vehicle. About 0.05 kilometers into the hike, there is a drinking water station for you to refill your supplies. Further along, at a distance of 3.24 kilometers, you will come across Baita di Varro, a shelter where you can rest and take in the surrounding views.
Midway through the hike, at 4.1 kilometers, you will reach Lago di Varro, a picturesque lake perfect for a scenic break. Continuing on, at 4.74 kilometers, there is another water point conveniently located on the trail for your convenience. Additionally, at 3.24 kilometers, you will find another drinking water station.
As you near the end of the trail, at 5.49 kilometers, you will encounter Pizzo Tornello, a stunning peak offering panoramic views of the area. Finally, at 3.54 kilometers, there is a historic monument worth exploring before heading back.
