This challenging hiking route will take you to the Kasseler Hütte in a beautiful area with stunning natural surroundings. The total distance of the hike is 5.91 kilometers with an elevation gain of 660 meters, so be prepared for a steep climb.
Starting from the trailhead, you will come across the "Säge" restaurant just 0.01 kilometers into the hike, a perfect spot to grab a bite before you continue on your journey. As you make your way, at around 2.9 kilometers into the hike, you will find a water source where you can refill your bottles and take a short rest.
Around the midway point at 2.96 kilometers, you will reach the Kasseler Hütte, an alpine hut where you can take a break, enjoy some food, and maybe even spend the night if you're up for it. With a phone number and website provided, you can check their availability and plan ahead.
Throughout the hike, you will also come across various information points, a park for parking, a wayside cross, benches, and viewpoints where you can learn more about the area and enjoy the breathtaking views.
