This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of Camino Ortiz in Spain. The trail is an out-and-back type, with a total distance of 3.98 kilometers and an elevation gain of 213 meters, making it an easy hike suitable for all skill levels.
As you start your journey, you will come across the Fuente de la Casa de Guías, a picturesque spring located 0.27 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. This is a great spot to refill your water bottle and take in the surrounding natural beauty.
Continuing on, at around 0.93 kilometers into the hike, you will find the Mamíferos de la Barranca information point, where you can learn more about the local wildlife and ecology of the area.
Further along the trail, at 1.76 kilometers from the start, you will reach the Fuente del Mojón (Fuente de la Senda Ortiz), another refreshing spring where you can rest and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
As you approach the turnaround point of the hike, you will encounter the Canto Gordo peak and the nearby peak of peak ", both offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
Throughout the hike, you will also pass by various points of interest such as the Embalse del Pueblo de Navacerrada and the Embalse del Ejercito del Aire, providing plenty of opportunities to appreciate the natural beauty and wildlife of the area.
