This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of Le Puech, offering stunning views and a challenging trek.
As you begin your hike, you will come across a wilderness hut called Cabane forestière du Piéjau, located 2.39 kilometers from the start of the trail. This hut serves as a shelter for hikers and is a great spot to take a break and enjoy the surroundings.
Further along the trail at about 3.86 kilometers from the start, you will find a peak called Le Puech. This is a great vantage point to take in panoramic views of the area.
Along the way, you will also come across a fountain called Fontaine de Piéjau, located 2.39 kilometers from the start. This is a good spot to refill your water bottles and rest for a bit.
At 2.48 kilometers from the start, you will reach a saddle known as Col du Piéjau, offering a natural break in the terrain.
As you continue on the trail, at 2.75 kilometers from the start, you will reach another saddle called Col de la Croisette. Here, you can take a breather and enjoy the surroundings.
Throughout the hike, there are various points of interest such as water sources and informational spots to enhance your experience.
This out-and-back route is 7.711 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 785 meters, making it a difficult hike. It is important to come prepared with enough water, snacks, and proper hiking gear. Make sure to check the weather forecast before embarking on this adventure.
