This extremely difficult hiking route takes you to the breathtaking Monte Muretto area. The trail spans 14.488 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1073 meters and a duration of approximately 6 hours. Before embarking on this challenging journey, make sure to pack plenty of water and snacks, and check the weather forecast.
As you start your hike, you will come across the picturesque Lago Rosso, located 6.2 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. This natural water feature offers a serene setting to take a break and enjoy the surrounding beauty. Further along the path, at 3.12 kilometers from the start, you will find the Rifugio Val Gravio alpine hut where you can rest and refuel.
Midway through the hike, at 6.82 kilometers from the start, you will reach the Colle del Vento saddle, providing stunning panoramic views of the area. Continuing on, at 7.24 kilometers from the start, you will encounter the peak of Monte Muretto, offering a rewarding sense of accomplishment.
