This hiking route to Monte Muretto is an extremely difficult 14.5-kilometer out-and-back trail with an elevation gain of 1073 meters. The trail starts at the parking area near Foresteria della Certosa and takes you through the beautiful alpine landscape of the area.
As you begin your journey, you'll pass by the Foresteria della Certosa alpine hut which is located about 1 kilometer from the start of the trail. Further along the route, at around 6.2 kilometers from the start, you'll come across Lago Rosso, a stunning water body nestled in the mountains.
Continuing on, at approximately 6.8 kilometers from the start, you'll reach Colle del Vento, a scenic saddle point offering panoramic views of the surrounding area. As you trek towards the peak, you'll encounter Monte Muretto, a notable peak standing tall at around 7.24 kilometers from the start.
