This hiking route takes you through the picturesque area surrounding Forge Jean Petit. The 16.982-kilometer trail offers a challenging and extremely difficult hike with an elevation gain of 117.0 meters.
As you start your journey, you will come across several water points along the way. At approximately 8.49 kilometers from the start, you will find multiple water sources off the trail, some within close proximity and others a bit further away. These spots provide a great opportunity to rest and rehydrate.
Around the 5.89-kilometer mark, there are more water points conveniently located on the trail, making it easier for hikers to replenish their water supply.
Additionally, at the beginning of the trail, there is a parking area available for your convenience, as well as a picnic site to enjoy a break and take in the surroundings.
One notable point of interest along the route is the Poudingue de la Haute Grange, a natural rock formation located approximately 6.9 kilometers from the start. This unique geological feature adds an extra element of beauty to the hike.
