This challenging 7.27-kilometer circular hiking route will take you to the beautiful Monte Tremoggia area. Starting your journey, you will pass by a parking area at the beginning of the trail. As you continue, you will come across Camping Fonte Vetica and Fonte Vetica spring, located 0.2 and 0.32 kilometers from the start, respectively. These spots offer a chance to rest and enjoy the natural surroundings.
Further along the trail, at 0.32 kilometers from the start, you will find Rifugio Fonte Vetica, an alpine hut where you can take a break and enjoy some refreshments. Continuing the hike, at 1.95 kilometers from the start, you will reach Sella di Fonte Fredda, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes.
As you progress, the trail will lead you to the highlight of the hike, Monte Tremoggia, standing at 3.25 kilometers from the start. This peak offers stunning panoramic views that make the challenging ascents worth it. Throughout the hike, be sure to bring an adequate water supply, as well as checking the weather forecast before heading out due to the difficulty level of the trail, encompassing an elevation gain of 751 meters over the duration of approximately 3 hours and 33 minutes.
