This extremely difficult hiking route will take you on an out-and-back journey to the majestic Pizzo Barone peak. The trail spans approximately 17.9 kilometers with an elevation gain of 2117 meters, making it a challenging but rewarding adventure for experienced hikers.
You will start your journey at the trailhead, where you can find parking facilities nearby. As you begin your ascent, you will come across several points of interest along the way. Around 0.48 kilometers from the start, you will find a water source to refill your bottles. Further along the trail, at 0.82 kilometers, another water source is available for hikers to rehydrate.
Midway through your hike, at 6.66 kilometers, you will reach Capanna Barone, an alpine hut where you can take a break and enjoy some rest. This is a perfect spot to refuel before continuing your journey to the peak.
