This hiking route takes you along the Leeds and Liverpool Canal (Leigh Branch), offering a super easy and leisurely trek.
Starting at the designated parking area, you will follow the trail that runs parallel to the canal. Along the way, you will come across several points of interest. About 200 meters from the start, you'll find Waddikers, a picturesque water point right by the trail. Heading further, at around 300 meters into the hike, you'll encounter Poolstock Brook, another lovely water feature.
As you continue on the trail, approximately 650 meters from the start, you'll reach the Leeds and Liverpool Canal once again, this time with more scenic views to enjoy. Additionally, at the same location, there's a charming restaurant called Peking Palace, perfect for a quick refreshment break.
Throughout the trail, you'll find various other water points and natural sights making the hike incredibly pleasant. With no significant elevation gain and a distance of around 1.6 kilometers, this route is ideal for all skill levels, offering a wonderful opportunity to enjoy nature at a relaxed pace.
