This hiking route takes you through the scenic area surrounding Japanese Lake. The trail is 2.077 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 84 meters, making it an easy hike suitable for all skill levels.
As you start your journey, you will come across Rivington Hall Barn, a pub located just 0.02 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. Further along the path at 0.54 kilometers in, you will find a natural water source. At 0.77 kilometers, there is the Great Lawn viewpoint and The Ravine viewpoint.
Continuing on, you will reach Rivington Gardens at 0.86 kilometers in, offering a beautiful attraction to explore. As you approach the 1.04 kilometer mark, you will find a bench to rest at and Japanese Lake, a picturesque spot perfect for a break.
On your way back, you can explore the historic ruins located at various points along the trail including Rivington Hall Barn, The Ravine, and the Terraced Gardens.
