This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of Chemin de l'Ayrette. The trail is 7.119 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 360.0 meters, making it a difficult hike that will take around 2 hours and 32 minutes to complete.
As you start your journey, you will pass by a parking area just 0.16 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. About halfway through your hike, at 1.13 kilometers from the start, you will come across the ruins of Vestiges aval du Castellas, offering a glimpse into the historic past of the area.
Continuing on, at 1.75 kilometers from the start, you will reach the peak of Le Castelas, providing stunning panoramic views of the surroundings. At 2.22 kilometers from the start, you will encounter the peak of Roque Longue, adding a sense of adventure to your hike.
As you approach the 3.53 kilometer mark, you will be greeted by the beautiful Cascade du Grand Rec waterfall, a perfect spot to take a break and enjoy the scenery. Just a bit further along the trail, at 3.56 kilometers from the start, you will find a water source for rehydrating before heading back.
