This extremely difficult circular hiking route, known as the Big 5 Challenge in Saalbach-Hinterglemm, covers a distance of 13.925 kilometers with an elevation gain of 938 meters, taking approximately 5 hours and 34 minutes to complete.

Starting off at the 12er Express parking area, hikers will make their way through the picturesque landscape, passing by various points of interest along the trail. At the beginning of the hike, you will come across the Speicherteich Gerstreit, a beautiful water feature located 1.01 kilometers from the starting point. Further along the trail at 1.98 kilometers, the Bergstadl restaurant and alpine hut offer a great spot to rest and refuel.

As you continue on the route, you will encounter the Hacklbergalm restaurant at 4.88 kilometers, ideal for a pit stop before tackling the challenging terrain. Other notable points of interest include Seetörl saddle at 6.16 kilometers, providing stunning views of the surrounding area. Additionally, there are several water sources conveniently located along the trail for hydration.

Towards the latter part of the hike, at 6.09 kilometers, you will find informative signage to enrich your understanding of the area. As you near the end of the route, the Xandl Stadl restaurant at 0.0 kilometers offers a rewarding stop before completing the journey.

While this trail presents a significant challenge due to its length and elevation gain, hikers are advised to come prepared with sufficient water, snacks, and appropriate gear.
