This hiking route is an extremely difficult out-and-back trail, spanning a distance of 23.146 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1808 meters. The trail will take approximately 9 hours and 52 minutes to complete, so make sure to start early in the day.
Starting at the parking area, you will begin the journey towards Cima Ovest del Monte Corvo. Along the way, at a distance of 4.28 kilometers from the start, you will come across Rifugio del Monte, an alpine hut where you can take a break and enjoy the scenic views.
As you continue on the trail, you will reach the peaks of Cima Ovest del Monte Corvo and Monte Corvo at 11.57 and 10.51 kilometers from the start respectively. These peaks offer breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding area, making the challenging hike worth it.
Around the midway point of the trail, at 6.75 kilometers from the start, you will find an information point where you can learn more about the natural and cultural heritage of the area.
It is essential to stay hydrated during the hike, so be sure to refill your water bottles at Fonte del Venaquaro, located at 8.76 kilometers from the start, and another drinking water point at 4.28 kilometers.
