Welcome to the hiking route to Monte Stabiata! This 10.28 km circular trail offers a challenging yet rewarding experience for hikers.
The trail starts at the parking area at the base of the mountain. Make sure to bring enough water and check the weather forecast before venturing out. The estimated duration for this hike is 3 hours.
As you start your journey, you will come across the Fontanile San Vincenzo, a drinking water source located 0.29 km from the trailhead. It's a good spot to refill your water bottle before continuing on.
Around 1.82 km into the hike, you will find an information point where you can learn more about the area's history and flora/fauna. Take a moment to pause and enrich your knowledge.
Sant'Antonino, an ancient ruin, is located 2.08 km from the start of the trail. Explore the remains and imagine its former glory as you continue your ascent.
Colle delle Spiazze, a natural peak, is 2.3 km from the trail and offers a panoramic view of the surrounding landscape. Take in the breathtaking scenery before pushing forward.
Midway through the hike, at 4.07 km, you will encounter ruins at Colle delle Pratelle. These historic remnants add a sense of mystery to the journey.
As you near the end of the trail, Monte Stabiata, another peak, awaits at 4.84 km. Reach the summit and revel in the sense of accomplishment as you admire the stunning views from the top.
