This hiking route will take you through the picturesque area around Kaiser-Ansitz, offering stunning views and historical landmarks along the way. The trail is 7.319 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 913 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding hike.

As you start your journey, you will come across the Parkplatz Katrinbahn, a parking area located just 0.05 kilometers from the trailhead. Soon after, at 0.28 kilometers into the hike, you will discover the Burgruine Wildenstein, a historic castle ruin that offers a glimpse into the past.

Around the halfway point of the trail, at 3.55 kilometers, you will find the Katrinalm restaurant where you can take a break and refuel before continuing your hike. Throughout the trail, you will also encounter various benches, fountains, and informational points to enhance your hiking experience.

It is important to note that there are several parking areas along the trail, but some may require a fee for usage. Additionally, be sure to pack plenty of water, snacks, and check the weather forecast before embarking on this challenging hike.

At the end of the trail, you will reach Kaiser-Ansitz, a lovely viewpoint where you can take in breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. After enjoying the scenery, you can retrace your steps back to the starting point, completing the out-and-back route.
