This hiking route will take you through the stunning area of Crête NW Grand Colon, offering breathtaking views and challenging terrain. The route is an out-and-back type, with a total distance of 12.324 kilometers and an elevation gain of 945.0 meters, making it extremely difficult and suitable for experienced hikers.

As you start your journey, you will come across various Points of Interest (POIs) along the trail. About 1.7 kilometers from the start, you will find the Baraque du Colon, a wilderness hut where you can take a rest and enjoy the surroundings. Further along the trail, at around 3.97 kilometers from the start, you will pass by Lac Merlat, a serene lake perfect for a peaceful break.

Midway through your hike, approximately 5.17 kilometers from the start, you will reach the Refuge de La Pra, an alpine hut offering shelter and stunning views of the area. Here, you can recharge before continuing your journey.

Throughout the hike, you will also come across water sources and viewpoints, providing opportunities to refill your supplies and admire the natural beauty of the surroundings. It is recommended to bring an ample supply of water, snacks, and proper hiking gear due to the challenging nature of the trail.
