This hike will take you to the beautiful Lac Claret area, starting at an elevation of 1456 meters and reaching 2196 meters at the destination. The total distance of the route is 12.32 kilometers, with an elevation gain of 945 meters.

As you embark on this out-and-back trail, you will encounter several points of interest along the way. Just 3 kilometers into the hike, you will come across Lac Merlat, a picturesque water body perfect for a serene stop to admire the views. Further along, at a distance of 5 kilometers, you will find Refuge de La Pra, an alpine hut where you can take a break and enjoy some rest.

In addition to these, there are several other noteworthy points along the route, such as Baraque du Colon, a wilderness hut 1 kilometer away, and Baraque des Carriers, another wilderness hut right on the trail. Make sure to stay hydrated during the hike, as there are drinking water stations at various points along the way, including one 1 kilometer into the route.

For those interested in cultural and historical landmarks, there is a cave entrance named "sans nom" located 1 kilometer away from the start point, as well as a wayside cross called "croix Pourroy" just 2 kilometers into the hike.
