Along the 12.834-kilometer route with an elevation gain of 1131 meters, you will encounter several points of interest.
Starting at the trailhead, you will find the Refuge de La Pra at 5.16 kilometers from the beginning, where you can take a rest and enjoy the alpine hut. Moving forward, at 1.7 kilometers, you will reach the Baraque du Colon wilderness hut, providing a picturesque spot for a break.
Further along, at 3.97 kilometers, you will come across Lac Merlat, a beautiful lake perfect for a tranquil moment in nature. Additionally, at 4.77 kilometers, there is another water point available for refilling your water bottle.
For those interested in history, at 2.52 kilometers, you will find the historic croix Pourroy wayside cross, adding a cultural element to your hike.
