The journey begins at the parking area, which is conveniently located right at the start of the trail. As you make your way along the path, you will come across various points of interest. About 9.94 kilometers into the hike, you will reach the majestic peak of Monte Rotella, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding area.

Along the way, you will pass by Il Faggeto, a restaurant situated approximately 1.76 kilometers from the start, where you can refuel and rest. Further ahead, at 2.44 kilometers from the trailhead, you will find Bosco di Sant'Antonio, an alpine hut providing accommodation options for weary hikers.

As you continue your journey, you will encounter Fonte di Sant. Antonio, a fountain located 2.3 kilometers from the start, offering a refreshing stop for a drink of water. Additionally, there are several drinking water sources strategically placed along the trail for your convenience.

For nature enthusiasts, there are several peaks to conquer, including one at 6.26 kilometers from the start, another at 7.07 kilometers, followed by peaks at 8.1, 9.01, and 9.61 kilometers into the hike. Each peak offers a unique vantage point and a sense of accomplishment for hikers.

It is advisable to come prepared for this challenging hike by bringing plenty of water, snacks, proper hiking gear, and checking the weather forecast before setting out. Remember to pace yourself and take breaks as needed to fully enjoy the beauty of Monte Rotella and its surroundings.
