Welcome to the hiking route to Monte Godi, a challenging and extremely difficult trail spanning 16.77 kilometers with an elevation gain of 555 meters.
Starting at the trailhead, hikers will come across a parking area located right at the beginning of the route. As you begin your journey towards Monte Godi, you'll find Ristorante Rifugio lo Scoiattolo, a cozy restaurant just 0.02 kilometers from the start where you can grab a bite to eat before embarking on the challenging ascent.
Further along the trail at 5.7 kilometers from the start, you will encounter the memorial “Stele di San Giovanni Paolo II”, providing a moment of reflection amidst the natural beauty of the surroundings.
As you continue your trek, at 8.39 kilometers from the beginning, you'll reach the majestic peak of Monte Godi, offering breathtaking panoramic views as a rewarding endpoint to your hike.
For sustenance along the way, there is another restaurant located 0.1 kilometers from the start and a cafe at the beginning of the trail where you can refuel and recharge before heading back. Additionally, there is an alpine hut, Ristorante Rifugio Lo Scoiattolo, conveniently positioned 0.02 kilometers from the start to provide hikers with a place to rest and enjoy a meal.
It is important to note that this is an out-and-back trail type, meaning hikers will retrace their steps on the return journey. As this hike is extremely difficult, it is recommended to be well-prepared with proper hiking gear, plenty of water, and snacks.
