This hiking route takes you through a historic area with various points of interest along the way. The trail is an out-and-back type, starting at a parking area. The total distance of the route is 2.971 kilometers with no elevation gain, making it an easy hike suitable for all skill levels.

As you begin your journey, you will come across the Hospital ruins, located 0.38 kilometers from the starting point. Further along the trail, at 0.24 kilometers, you will find the impressive Castell de Sant Ferran, a castle and tourist attraction with a rich history. Just before you start the hike, there is an information point and a drinking water source available for you to use.

Midway through the hike, at 1.49 kilometers, you will reach the Baluarte Santa Bárbara viewpoint, offering stunning panoramic views of the surroundings. Other viewpoints, such as Baluarte Santa Tecla, Baluarte Santiago, and Baluarte San Felipe, are also located along the trail, providing different perspectives of the area.

For a break, you can stop at La Cantina del Castell de Sant Ferran, a cafe located near the trail, 0.0 kilometers away. There is also a drinking water source nearby at a distance of 0.18 kilometers.
