This hiking route takes you through a stunning alpine area, offering breathtaking views and challenging terrain. The total distance of the hike is 8.186 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1220 meters, making it extremely difficult and suitable for experienced hikers.
Starting off, you'll pass by Zelené pleso, a beautiful alpine lake located just 0.04 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. As you continue, you'll come across Chata pri Zelenom plese, a cozy alpine hut perfect for a rest stop. Further along the trail, you'll encounter Prostredné Spišské pleso, followed by Nižné Spišské pleso, Veľké Spišské pleso, and Vyšné Spišské pleso, all picturesque lakes that add to the charm of the hike.
Halfway through the hike at 2.28 kilometers from the start, you'll reach Baranie sedlo, a natural saddle offering panoramic views of the surrounding peaks. As you trek on, you'll pass by Pfinnova kopa, a peak standing at 4.09 kilometers from the start, and Dlhý vodopád, a picturesque waterfall located 0.97 kilometers from the beginning of the trail.
Towards the end of the hike, you'll reach Téryho chata, another alpine hut located 3.4 kilometers from the start, where you can rest and refuel before making your way back. Along the way back, don't miss out on Medený vodopád, another stunning waterfall just 0.86 kilometers from the start.
