This challenging hiking route will take you to the stunning area of Col de la Perche - Arête Nord. The trail covers a distance of 8.8 kilometers with an elevation gain of 451 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding trek.
As you embark on this out-and-back journey, you will come across several points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, you will find a peaceful spot known as Lac des Grenouilles, located 3.09 kilometers from the start. This serene lake offers a great place to take a break and enjoy the surrounding nature.
Further along the trail, at the 3.19 kilometer mark, you will encounter the Baraque de la Jasse wilderness hut, providing a rustic accommodation option for hikers. As you continue on, you will also pass by the Refuge d'Arbarétan at 3.21 kilometers, offering another shelter for overnight stays.
Throughout your hike, you will have access to several water sources to refill your bottle, including drinking water points and natural springs conveniently located along the trail. It's important to stay hydrated, so be sure to bring an adequate supply of water with you.
