This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area surrounding Col d'Arbarétan and Route Forestière de Fontaine Noire. With a distance of 7.654 kilometers and an elevation gain of 448 meters, this hike is classified as difficult due to its length and elevation.
Starting at the parking area at the beginning of the trail, you will make your way through the lush forest. About 0.33 kilometers into the hike, you will come across a drinking water source where you can refill your water bottle.
Continuing on, at 0.34 kilometers from the start, you will reach Baraque de la Jasse, a wilderness hut where you can take a break and enjoy the surroundings. As you trek further, at 3.16 kilometers from the start, you will find another drinking water source to stay hydrated.
Midway through the hike, at 3.19 kilometers from the start, you will pass by Refuge d'Arbarétan, another wilderness hut where you can rest and rejuvenate before continuing on your journey.
As you approach the summit, at 3.52 kilometers from the start, you will encounter Lac des Grenouilles, a beautiful lake where you can take in the scenic views and enjoy a moment of tranquility.
