This challenging hiking route will take you to the beautiful Heimgarten area. The trail covers a distance of approximately 10.166 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1018.0 meters, making it a difficult hike that will take around 4 hours and 53 minutes to complete.
As you start your journey, you will come across the Heimgarten peak, located about 5.08 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. This majestic peak offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding area and is a perfect spot to take a break and soak in the scenery.
About 1.43 kilometers into the hike, you will find a water source, perfect for refilling your water bottles and quenching your thirst. Further along the trail, at around 4.99 kilometers from the start, you will reach the Heimgartenhütte restaurant, where you can rest and grab a bite to eat.
Throughout the hike, you will encounter several information points, benches, and viewpoints that provide interesting tidbits about the area and offer a chance to rest and enjoy the surroundings. Make sure to check out the Kleiner Illing peak, located about 1.3 kilometers away from the trail.
