This extremely difficult 15.686-kilometer circular hiking route will take you to the stunning Box Elder Peak area. The trail starts at the parking area, where you can leave your vehicle before embarking on this challenging adventure.
Along the way, you will come across Sandwagon campsite, located right on the trail, making it a convenient spot to rest and recharge. Further along the trail, you will also find the picturesque Handshaker campsite, although it is slightly off the main path.
As you continue your journey, make sure to stop by the refreshing spring, approximately 2.37 kilometers from the start, to refill your water bottle and take in the surrounding natural beauty.
Box Elder Peak, a notable peak in the area, can be seen at a distance of 7.36 kilometers from the start point. This iconic landmark offers breathtaking views and is a great place to capture memorable photos.
While the hike offers incredible scenery and a unique outdoor experience, it is important to note that this trail is extremely difficult, with an elevation gain of 1400 meters. Be prepared for a challenging trek that will test your endurance and fitness levels.
