Welcome to the hike at Cerro Gaital! This extremely difficult 20.439-kilometer circular route will take you on an adventure through stunning natural landscapes and cultural landmarks.

As you begin your journey, you'll come across the refreshing Fountain at 5.19 kilometers from the start. Further along the trail, at 2.79 kilometers, you'll find the cozy restaurant Doña Nella - Criolla y Panameña, perfect for a quick bite to eat.

At 5.93 kilometers, don't miss the unique Square Trees (arboles cuadrados), a fascinating attraction worth exploring. As you continue, you'll reach the peak of Cerro Gaital at 9.98 kilometers, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surroundings.

Along the way, you'll encounter various dining options such as Bruschetta, Carlitos, and Zapote for a delicious meal or snack. Additionally, there are several cafes and bars like Refresquería Santa Monica and Bar Disco to rest and recharge.

For a cultural experience, visit Mercado Municipal at 2.88 kilometers and learn about local crafts and produce. As you near the end of the hike, take in the scenic views from Mirador at 9.33 kilometers before heading back to the starting point.

With an elevation gain of 575 meters, this challenging hike requires proper preparation. Be sure to bring plenty of water, snacks, and check the weather forecast before setting out. Remember to pace yourself and take breaks as needed to fully enjoy the beauty of Cerro Gaital.
