This hiking route takes you through the stunning area of Callejón de las Abejas, offering a challenging but rewarding experience for outdoor enthusiasts. With a total distance of 9.2 kilometers and an elevation gain of 748 meters, this route is considered difficult and is recommended for experienced hikers.
Starting at Aparcamiento Arroyo del Mediano, you will make your way through the trail, passing by various points of interest along the route. At the beginning of the hike, you will come across the Hueco de San Blas, a unique rock formation just 0.02 kilometers from the start.
As you continue along the trail, you will encounter peaks such as Risco de la Ventana and El Cocodrilo, each offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. Collado de La Ventana, a saddle located 3.45 kilometers from the start, provides a great resting spot to take in the scenery.
Midway through the hike, you will reach Cerro de los Hoyos (o Risco del Nevazo), a prominent peak located 4.08 kilometers from the start. The challenging terrain and the rewarding views make this a highlight of the route.
As you near the end of the trail, you will pass by La Esfinge and Torre de los Buitres, offering panoramic views of the area. Finally, at the turnaround point, you will reach El Cocodrilo, which marks the end of the out-and-back route.
