Located in the beautiful mountainous region, the Sentier du talc hiking route offers a challenging yet rewarding experience for outdoor enthusiasts. With a total distance of 8.415 kilometers and an elevation gain of 860 meters, this difficult trail will take approximately 4 hours to complete.

As you start your journey, you will come across the Source du ruisseau de Fountrounne, a natural spring located just 0.07 kilometers from the trail. Make sure to replenish your water supply here before continuing on. Further along the trail, at a distance of 3.38 kilometers from the start, you will encounter the majestic peak known as Pic de Saint-Barthélemy. Take a moment to admire the breathtaking views from this vantage point.

Continuing on, at the 3.74 kilometer mark, you will reach the Col du Trou de l'Ours, a natural saddle along the trail. This is a great spot to take a break and soak in the surroundings. As you approach the midway point of the hike, you will find the Étang supérieur, a beautiful water feature located 3.97 kilometers from the start.

For those in need of a rest, the Cabane du Pas du Gai shelter is located just 0.07 kilometers from the trail. This is a good place to refuel and recharge before tackling the second half of the hike. As you make your way back towards the starting point, be sure to stop by the water point at 4.21 kilometers from the beginning to hydrate and cool off.
