Welcome to the Sentier du talc hiking route, a challenging 8.415-kilometer out-and-back trail that will take you through stunning landscapes and varied terrain.

The trail starts at the parking area near Pic de Saint-Barthélemy, where you can admire the peak before embarking on your journey. As you make your way along the route, you will encounter several points of interest.

About 3.38 kilometers from the start, you will pass by the Étang supérieur, a beautiful water feature that provides a picturesque spot for a break. Further along, at the 3.74-kilometer mark, you will reach the Col du Trou de l'Ours, a natural saddle that offers sweeping views of the surrounding area.

For those looking to rest, the Cabane du Pas du Gai, a shelter, is located just 0.07 kilometers off the trail. This is a great spot to take a breather and refuel before continuing on your journey.

As you approach the midway point of the trail, you will come across the Source du ruisseau de Fountrounne, a refreshing spring that provides cool, clean water. Be sure to fill up your water bottles here as you continue on your hike.

Towards the end of the route, at around 2.7 kilometers from the start, you will find the Pic des Burarels, another peak offering spectacular views of the surrounding landscape.

Throughout the hike, be prepared for a challenging trek with a total elevation gain of 860 meters. Make sure to bring plenty of water, snacks, and proper hiking gear. Additionally, check the weather forecast before setting out to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
