This extremely difficult 13.733-kilometer circular hiking route will take you to the stunning Nid d'Aigle in the mountainous area. The trail starts at the parking area near the Pierre du Chevrier ou Pierre des Druides monument. Make sure to carry plenty of water and check the weather forecast before embarking on this challenging hike.
As you begin your journey, you will pass by the Drapel climbing site, located just 0.97 kilometers from the start. About 1.01 kilometers into the hike, you'll come across a viewpoint offering breathtaking scenery. A bench is also located nearby for you to take a break and soak in the views.
Midway through the hike, at 3.01 kilometers from the start, you'll find a drinking water facility to refill your bottles. As you continue towards Nid d'Aigle, be sure to stop by the viewpoint of La Grande Crevasse, though it's slightly off the trail. Information about the area can be found at the 6.01-kilometer mark.
Finally, after a strenuous 6.47-kilometer trek, you will reach the Nid d'Aigle viewpoint, the highlight of the hike. Take a moment to appreciate the panoramic views before making your way back. On your return journey, you can stop for another drink of water at the facility located 4.44 kilometers from the start.
This hike involves an elevation gain of 791 meters, so be prepared for steep inclines and challenging terrain. The duration of the hike is estimated to be around 5 hours and 9 minutes. Enjoy the adventure and stay safe on the trails!
