This challenging hiking route in the Pala Alta area covers a distance of approximately 5.08 kilometers with an elevation gain of 875 meters. The duration of the hike is estimated to be around 3 hours and 21 minutes.

Starting at the parking area, you will embark on a scenic journey towards Pala Alta peak, which is located about 2.54 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. Along the way, you will pass by the historic Forcella San Giorgio saddle at 1.44 kilometers from the start, and the picturesque Bareta del Prete rock formation at the same distance mark.

As you continue your ascent, you will encounter the historic castle at 0.85 kilometers from the start, and the wayside shrine at 1.68 kilometers. There is also a information point on the trail at 0.65 kilometers, where you can learn more about the area.

For your convenience, there is a drinking water point located off the trail at 0.38 kilometers, so make sure to fill up your water bottles before heading out. Additionally, it is recommended to check the weather forecast before starting the hike and to bring plenty of water and snacks to stay hydrated and energized.
