Welcome to the hiking route at Sentiers Visite Site Mine Martinet in Charleroi. This circular route offers a super easy trek with a distance of 1.486 kilometers and no elevation gain.
As you start your journey, you will find a parking area conveniently located at the beginning of the trail. Make sure to bring water with you as there are several water spots along the way, with the closest one being 0.59 kilometers from the start.
As you continue on the trail, about 0.15 kilometers from the start, you will come across an artwork depicting the history of the area. Further along, at approximately 0.7 kilometers, you will find a memorial called Ancien Bassin à Schlamms, and a water point is also nearby.
At the mid-way point of the hike, around 0.72 kilometers from the start, you will encounter the Puits 11 Charbonnage de Monceau Fontaine memorial. It's a great spot to take a break and learn about the historic significance of the area.
Towards the end of the trail, at 0.66 kilometers from the start, there are more water points available for refilling your bottles. Additionally, make sure to check out the Ancient Fosse n° 4 Le Martinet memorial located right on the trail.
